In San Diego, California, on July 15, 1976, Gabriel Jess Iglesias was born. Esther P. Mendez and Jess Iglesias are his parents. Before moving to Section 8 low-income housing in Long Beach, where he spent the most of his early years, he was raised by his mother as a single parent in Riverside, Corona, Santa Ana, Baldwin Park, and Compton.
