In San Diego, California, on July 15, 1976, Gabriel Jess Iglesias was born. Esther P. Mendez and Jess Iglesias are his parents. Before moving to Section 8 low-income housing in Long Beach, where he spent the most of his early years, he was raised by his mother as a single parent in Riverside, Corona, Santa Ana, Baldwin Park, and Compton. He has Mexican ancestry.

In 2015, Iglesias made an appearance on the reality series Fluffy Breaks Even. Fluffy’s Food Adventures became the name of the program for its third season in 2017. He portrays Gabriel Iglesias in the Netflix original series Mr. Iglesias from 2019 to 2020. He provided the voice of Picchu in Maya and the Three and Speedy Gonzales in the movie Space Jam: A New Legacy, both released in 2021.

Iglesias made history in 2022 when he became the first comedian to sell out Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. On October 18, 2022, Stadium Fluffy, a Netflix original film, was released about the concert.
