  • Job Responsibility
    Patient Assessment – Tasks in a patient-advocate role by being the initial point of contact for patient-related issues. Interpret and follow the doctor’s orders by administering medication and carrying out/ordering and testing the treatment directed by the doctor (Magnet Force 1212). Recognizes symptoms and sets priorities in accordance with the patient’s condition (Magnetic Force #9). Documents the patient’s physical and emotional status and incorporates it into a care plan to meet the patient’s needs (Magnet Force #5,6).
    Patient care – Reviews and evaluates the care plan, obtains information from the patient and/or family, and incorporates it into the care plan as needed (Magnet Force #2,6). The multidisciplinary team collaborates with the patient and family to provide effective patient care (Magnet Force #10,11,13). Provide for the physical, cultural, and psychosocial needs of patients and families. Integrate evidence-based practice and professional standards wherever possible. Become a champion for patient safety by consistently monitoring and controlling the clinical environment and ensuring safety goals and standards are met when care is delivered in practice settings.
    Communication – Completes necessary paperwork and communicates competently and effectively to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements. Protect the confidentiality of patient’s personal health information (PHI) (Magnet Force #3,8,13).
    Workflow – Assists in the day-to-day supervision of other clinical staff (nursing and other non-nursing staff) when directed by the manager to improve workflow in the practice. Provide feedback to management when asked about the job-related skills of unlicensed employees. Act as a mentor and mentor for new employees and ongoing resources for non-licensed or unlicensed nursing staff. Flexible with clinical site work assignments to provide an appropriate environment to meet staff and patient care needs.
    Quality improvement – effectively using time and resources to improve quality and cost outcomes. Participate in specific and divisional quality projects and initiatives. Function as a clinical expert by communicating patient-related problems and issues directly to managers and medical directors. Minimal education

Position requirements:

Required: Bachelor’s degree

Define Degree: Nurse Practitioner

Minimal experience

Required: Less than one year of previous work related experience

Preferred: 1-2 years of previous work related experience

Need

License / Certification:

Basic Life Support (CPR)

Nurse Practitioner – Current Illinois Registered Nurse License

Other: Professional certification in a clinical or functional area of ​​nursing issued by the National Board of Nursing is preferred.
