Adebowale attended the Anglican Girls School in Ijebu-Ode after completing her primary education. She spent half of her time living in the hostel there, which helped her develop her independence and creative abilities. In 2004, Adebowale began his career as a radio host. Before joining Metro FM, she worked for the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria. In 2008, she joined Wazobia FM after leaving Metro FM. She began her career at Wazobia as a newscaster, earningher initial honor as one. Her first award was a rewarding experience that fueled her motivation. A few years later, she was given the opportunity to launch her program, Oga Madam Office, on which all manner of topics are covered, from politics to relationships. One of her most well-known radio programs was “Office Palaver,” where listeners could ring in and vent about events at work while still having fun and releasing tension. Also, she is the host of the annual stand-up comedy show Oga Madam Live on Stage, which has featured performances by well-known artists including Tiwa Savage and Brymo. The event has been a success for many years and recently underwent international expansion.
The moniker “Lolo 1” was given to her by Adebowale listeners. On one of her radio appearances she told her audience that she wanted a moniker, asking them for their opinions. She received over 3000 submissions but settled on “Lolo” because she wanted a name that was straightforward but sympathetic. She also cherished the fact that it denoted majesty because “Lolo” in Igbo signifies “Queen.”

As a spin-off to the hugely successful movie Jenifa, which starred award-winning actress Funke Akindele as the lead role, Jenifa’s Diary premiered in 2014 to great acclaim. Adebowale was chosen to play Adaku, a funny, vivacious Igbo woman who also happens to be Jenifa’s coworker and friend at the NikkiO Salon.
