American actress and singer Rachel Anne Zegler. Craig and Gina Zegler welcomed Rachel Anne Zegler into the world on May 3, 2001, in Hackensack, New Jersey. She was given the name Rachel Green in honor of Jennifer Aniston’s fictitious portrayal of Rachel Green in the hit television series Friends. While her father is of Polish ancestry, her mother is of Colombian ancestry.

Zigler attended St. Philip the Apostle Preparatory School before enrolling at the catholic, all-girls Immaculate Conception High School, where she later completed her studies and graduated in June 2019.

While still a senior in high school, she began her acting career by participating in several musical productions. She performed as Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street, and Ariel in The Little Mermaid. In addition, Zigler played the roles of Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cosette in Les Misérables, and Serena in Legally Blonde.

An open casting call for a new West Side Story movie was publicized on Steven Spielberg’s Twitter account in January 2018. Zegler responded to the casting call at the age of sixteen by posting recordings of herself singing “Tonight” and “I Feel Beautiful.” In recognition of her acting debut, she was chosen from among more than 30,000 applicants for the role of Maria. She received a number of praises from reviewers and viewers after the movie’s release in December 2021.

Zegler will make an appearance in the upcoming superhero movie Shazam! Wrath of the Gods and will also portray Snow White in the upcoming Disney animated movie. In the yet-to-be-released animated musical picture Spellbound, she will voice the lead role.
