American actor and musician Grant Gustin is from. He is well-known for his roles as Sebastian Smythe on the Fox sitcom Glee and Barry Allen/The Flash on The CW’s The Flash, both of which are part of the Arrowverse.

Thomas Gustin, a college professor, and Tina Haney, a pediatric nurse, welcomed their son Thomas Grant Gustin into the world on January 14, 1990 in Norfolk, Virginia.

He received his musical theater training at Norfolk’s Governor’s School for the Arts. Gustin also participated in a Virginia-based theater company called Hurrah Players Incorporated. After graduating from Granby High School in 2008, he enrolled in Elon University’s BFA Music Theater Program in North Carolina.

Career of Grant Gustin

While still in high school, he made his screen debut in the 2004 film Rain. Gustin dropped out of school in 2010 and 2011 to play Baby John in the Broadway Revival Tour of West Side Story.

As Sabastian Smythe, he joined the Fox television program Glee’s cast in 2011. Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson was covered by Gustin and co-star Naya Rivera in 2012, and it peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 10 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart, and number 28 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart.

He repeated his performance as Barry Allen in Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and the web series Vixen as a part of the larger Arrowverse.

The movie Krystal starring William H. Macy included Gustin. He played the role of Barry Keenan in Operation Blue Eyes in March 2020.
