New Product Assurance Analyst

Purpose of the Job

The role holder will ensure efficient integration of new and modified Voice, SMS, Data. VAS and Financial Services products/tariffs/promos/services onto the Billing system/Network with 100% revenue assurance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Assurance on all Voice, SMS, Data and Financial Services Products/services/Tariffs

• Ensure RA/Quality Assurance testing of new Voice, SMS, Data and Financial Services products/services/Tariffs/Promos for 100% revenue assurance.

• Review new Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and Financial Services, identify process gap and report for action.

• Ensure all areas/issues raised at product concept review is captured in the final approval document and tested during service roll out UAT.

• To prepare and conduct ATP (acceptance test plan) in conjunction with software/application developer or vendor

• Escalate and follow up on identified revenue impacting issue for resolution.

2. Risk Analysis on Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and Financial Services

• Identify all conflicting business rules of all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and Financial Services

• Prepare risk analysis document on all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and Financial Services

• Inform all stakeholders and Product owners of identified risk

3. Change Control Management

• Prepare Test cases of all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and Financial Services/ Products/Tariffs/Promos for Implementers

• Prepare User Acceptance Test Document for all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and Financial Services products/tariff/promos

• Coordinate and participant in end-to-end UAT tests before roll out of all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS and Financial Services/ Products/Tariffs/Promos

• Respond to any escalated issue during change process.

4. Rollout of all / Voice, SMS, Data, VAS and Financial services /Products/Tariffs/Promos

• Coordinate and participate in post roll out UAT/Regression test after service roll out.

• Coordinate all efforts to ensure that all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS and Financial Services/ Products/Tariffs/Promos roll out meets stipulated launch date with 100% accuracy and no loss of revenue.

• Ensure termination of Voice, SMS, Data and Financial Services/ Products/Tariffs/Promos offer at specified date and carry out UAT to confirm termination.

• Ensure dropping of eligibility and whitelist offer IDs upon expiration of validity for all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and Financial Services/ Products/Tariffs/Promos

• To conduct test on upgrade/integrations on the SDP/HLR/CCN/network nodes in conjunction with technical team.

5. Compliance with management’s approval and adherence to all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS and Financial Services product integration policies, procedures and SLAs.

• To ensure all Voice, SMS, Data, VAS, and financial services tariffs configured on the billing system are in line with management’s approval and bills 100 % accurate.

• Ensures regulatory compliance on all new products before launch.

• Escalate issues found contrary to approval to appropriate authority and follow through for correction.

6. Resolution/management of escalation on all Voice, SMS, Data. VAS and Financial Services/ Products/Tariffs/Promos.

• Ensure all escalations around Voice, SMS, Data, VAS and Financial Services (from Fraud management, technical teams) are treated and dispatched and generate incident report as required.

• Coordinate immediate UAT on reported Voice, SMS, Data and financial services cases to confirm status of issue and escalate to respective unit for resolution/sealing off loopholes (where necessary).

• Respond to audit /fraud enquires.

Education & Experience

• 1st degree in a related discipline.

• A professional qualification in CISA and a master’s degree would be desirable.

• Minimum of 2 years telecommunications or related experience (with minimum of 1 year in Revenue Assurance).

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of all company’s products and business rules governing the products.

• Knowledge of network and technology for all products.

• Revenue assurance skills- reconciliation, investigation, and reporting.

BISP Network Engineer

Purpose of the Job

The role will be charged with providing support to the Head, Network Security in ensuring Network Security in line with the Bharti Information System Policy (BISP) relating to Networks.

Key Responsibilities

1 Ensure Compliance to Bharti Information Security Policy (BISP) as relates to network

• Implementation, Compliance and Controls of Networks related BISP.

2 Partner Management

• Work with Network Managed Services partners to ensure their compliance to BISP regarding Airtel Business.

3 Security of Physical Assets

• Airtel network physical assets at MSC locations and data centers, working through Facilities of SCM.

• Physical cabling and device security within the core nodes working with MS partners and Networks Core team.

• Physical security of assets at sites, working through Operations team and Tower copartners.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in telecom or electronics or equivalent

• A minimum of 7 years or more of work experience in the Telecoms environment

• Understanding of telecom NMS, OSS, billing and revenue assurance activities.

• Experience in GSM and WCDMA domains through telecom experience. LTE experience will be an added advantage

MBPN Operations Engineer


This function is expected to act as the representative for technical and functional requirements in the area in the area of MPBN, MPLS, Enterprise MPLS, IPRAN and IP Core together referred as IP Services solutions to support both Mobile and Enterprise services. The role will define the optimal topology of the IP Services to meet a premium service level agreements and industry architecture for IP Network; This role provides Level-1 support to the function with hands-on knowledge and experience on the nodes and ensures FTR configurations.


MPBN Operations to ensure Uninterrupted voice and data service delivery

  • Perform day to day operations & management, fix alarms and resolve incidents, prepare daily health check status and report to TL.
  • Keep & Maintain inventory of IP Addresses and implement Zoning.
  • Allocate IP Addresses to Network as per Airtel Zoning policy and maintain its database.
  • Ensure cabling in IP network is maintained as per standard structured cabling procedures in switch rooms.
  • Perform Change Management, performance & optimization through O&M and Performance Management processes.
  • Ensure all Faults, Trouble Tickets & Incidents are recorded and addressed within SLAs. Documentation of all such events are prepared with RFO, RCA and RCF. Weekly and monthly report of such incidents are prepared to do analytic study on them by TL and reduce incidents.
  • Analyze traffic reports and optimize traffic.
  • Implement all BISP related tasks and perform duties within BISP framework.
  • Perform NOC integration for alarm reporting & escalation.
  • Execute patches and support update/upgrade process.
  • Perform ATP, UAT on services and nodes.
  • Support TSG / Enterprise team in resolving customer complaints.
  • Provide inputs to TL on spares inventory and Life Cycle management on nodes.

Update Documentation

  • Update Solution document, HLD, DLD, LLD along with Network Diagram.
  • Keep document management updated.

Capacity optimization, availability & performance management

  • Perform adequate day to day capacity optimization, of all nodes, interfaces on IP Services related Nodes – in accordance with network growth and projections.
  • Continuously being the loop of the network traffic, licenses, trends and various parameters to ensure the Network elements are operating as expected. Where required, take corrective action with input from TL and Group Planning team.

Support in Expansion & Evolution of Core Network

  • Understand the business requirements and impact on the IP backbone and data network infrastructure.
  • Support expansion of nodes well in advance.
  • Support evolution of IP Services to best industry practices.

Employee Engagement

  • Maintain high Team Harmony and Engagement at all times with both internal and external teams and stakeholders.

Vendor/Partner Engagement

  • Ensure that the Vendor Customer Support and supplier vendors are engaged at all times to deliver high quality output expected first time right.


Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills

Must have:

  • Bachelor/Masters of Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering degree/Computer Science/IT
  • Detailed working of IP/MPLS
  • Juniper / Cisco / Huawei NE certified engineer is a must
  • Analytical and Presentation skills
  • Detailed understanding of call flows of Telecom w.r.t. IP routing
  • A basic understanding of 3GPP /ITU-T and ETSI standards is required.

Relevant Experience

Must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on working experience in large Mobile Network Operator with the IP Nodes.
  • Multivendor experience – Including experience with Transmission, Core & Data networks.
  • Good understanding of the commercial deployment of IP/MPLS which could includes hands-on operations, test and/or deployment. Understanding of the evolution of 2G/3G/4G networks moving convergence with IP
  • Detailed understanding of IP technology
  • Tracing and analysis acumen and experience on end to end E2E service flow.
  • Experience of deployment of key network systems through the delivery life cycle from initial design to full operational handover
  • Experience in measuring and analyzing network KPI ‘key performance indicators’
