Nigeria completes preparations to start mass producing helicopters.

According to the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, Nigeria has started producing helicopters in large quantities (NASENI) . The plans to start the helicopter production have made significant progress, according to NASENI Chairman Professor Mohammed Haruna.

He said that all the components needed to start production had been shipped from Belgium and that engineers and pilots had received training.

On Friday, August 12, 2022, Nigeria’s National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) said that the nation is prepared to begin domestic helicopter assembly. helicopters produced in Nigeria are ready to be flown by pilots and engineers.

Professor Mohammed Haruna, the chairman of NASENI, claims that significant progress has been made, that Belgium has supplied all necessary parts and components, and that pilot, engineer, and technician training has officially started.

The NASENI chairman reportedly said this while meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
