After completing her primary and junior secondary education in Lagos, Nancy had to relocate to Benin City, where she completed her secondary education. She attended a six-month foundational course at the University of Port Harcourt after completing her secondary schooling before enrolling in a two-year Social Work program at the University of Lagos.

As a way to pay for school, Nancy Isime began her career in the entertainment industry as an usher. She collaborated with various businesses in this capacity.
