About The University

The Federal University Otuoke is a federal government-owned University sited in Otuoke, a town in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State, Southern Nigeria. The university is one of the nine new Federal Universities established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in February 2011 under the administration of president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan. Federal University Otuoke is suited in the heart of the oil-rich Niger-Delta Region of Bayelsa State. The university was established in 2011 and started with 282 pioneer students. The university currently have six (6) faculties and offers degree courses at undergraduate levels. The university offers undergraduate programs in the faculty of ScienceManagement Science, Social Science and Humanities, Education ,    Engineering and Technology. The university is a Partner of Sustainable Public Procurement.

FUOTUOKE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COURSES.

  • Arts: Five O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC, GCE or NECO including English Language, Mathematics and any two (2) of Literature, Religious Knowledge and History or Government.

 

  • Social Sciences: Five O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC, GCE or NECO including English Language, Mathematics and any two (2) of Accounting, Geography, Government and any other subject.

 

  • Management Sciences (Administration): Five O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC, GCE or NECO including English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) of Accounting, Business Studies, Commerce and Economics.
  • Sciences: Five O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC, GCE or NECO including English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) Science subjects.

 

  • Engineering/Environmental/Technology: Five O’ level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC, GCE or NECO including English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) Science subjects.
