The government expressed its commitment to pay the rights of all genuine workers and will resist the efforts of some politicians to blackmail and endanger the welfare of innocent citizens by politicizing the labor situation.
To this end, all government agencies, law enforcement agencies, and the public are encouraged to follow the above policies to comply with this notice.
The statement goes like this:
GOVERNMENT NOTICE
As the only way to get the government’s demands, the government is worried about regular strike action by some institutions. This movement is, at the very least, productive and interesting.
Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) is a case in point. This administration has lasted 97 months. ABSUTH has been on strike for 21 months, Resident Doctors have been on strike for 25 months (January 2018 to date) since the establishment of the current Administration. However, the government pays ABSUTH salaries for 34 months and 35 months for resident doctors.
To this end, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, is now leading the no-work rule; no fee” applies in Abia State.
We pledge and promise to pay all legitimate workers to genuine workers and we will resist the efforts of some politicians to blackmail the government and harm the welfare of innocent citizens by politicizing the welfare of workers.
Based on the above, all government agencies, law enforcement agencies, and members of the public are encouraged to follow the above policy to comply with this notice.
BARR. CHRIST IS LORD
Secretary to the Abia State Government
